Randy had a BIRTHDAY!
His dad drove all the way up from Las Vegas to surprise him with a sushi dinner. What a great surprise! The plan was for me to take Randy out to dinner and at some point his dad would sneak up and surprise him. All was going according to planned until Randy got off work 1 1/2 hrs early. I panicked and frantically called his dad who was driving back from the coast to meet us. These sorts of things never go according to planned! I scrambled and stalled and was able to delay our arrival until just the right time. Randy did admit later that he was a little annoyed by my scatterbrain antics but it was all worth it in the end. Randy couldn't have been more surprised!
